Fall is in the Air!
Early fall on the shoreline is a magical time of year. Warm days give way to cool nights inviting you to sit by the fire. All the bustle of summer is gone, but you still can enjoy the beautiful coastline, with a few days warm enough for the beach. Restaurants are easier to get into and the shops are less crowded. It's great to throw a sweatshirt on and enjoy some of our favorite outdoor dining spots like Bill's Seafood or Scotch Plains Tavern. We now offer a S'mores Package so you can have a yummy treat while relaxing on the patio.
We also love to visit the local farmers markets. Chester has a really fun market each Sunday at 11. The town is adorable and fun to walk around. Little House Brewing Company is perfect for a cold refreshment and Lark is a sweet little shop with interesting items. We also like to make a visit to our local orchards. Bishops Orchards in Guilford and Rose Orchards in Branford are a short drive from the Inn. You can have fun exploring corn mazes, petting farm animals, tasting fruit wines, or bringing a fresh fruit pie back to enjoy by the fire. Whatever your pleasure, extended summer on the shore is a perfect time for a visit.
